The Burgers & Brews Invitational will make its inaugural debut in San Diego on October 22 at the beautiful Legacy Plaza in Liberty Station! This fun-filled day will showcase the best of the best award-wining craft breweries alongside the top burger establishments in all of San Diego!
Your all-inclusive ticket will get you UNLIMITED samples of the world’s best craft brews AND San Diego’s finest burgers between 12 – 4 pm, with comfortable seating & shade, award-winning live music and the newly added gourmet french fry bar by renowned chef Alex Carballo! Proceeds benefit BraveCort Foundation, benefiting pediatric child cancer research and treatment.

Hodad’s is now in the hands of third-generation family member, Shane Hardin, son of the famous Burgermeister, Mike “Bossman” Hardin. Established in 1969, Hodad’s went from a locals’ favorite shack to a relentlessly busy hub for Burger lovers from all over the world.
Over the past six years, Slater’s 50/50 has won numerous “Best Of” awards and is constantly mentioned among the best of the best in local, regional, and national media outlets including People, Food & Wine, Huffington Post, The Howard Stern Show and many more.
Carnitas’ Snack Shack
In 2011, Chef Hanis Cavin and Sara Stroud opened Carnitas’ Snack Shack, their first joint venture, in the North Park neighborhood of San Diego. The “SnackShack,” as it’s affectionately called, serves slow food-inspired, pork-centric American cuisine, snacks and locally sourced craft beers.
Grass-Fed Beef… Organic Salads… Living Green… Modern Digs… Burger Lounge grew out of the idea that a hamburger should not only taste great, it should also utilize healthy ingredients produced in a sustainable environment.
GOURMET FRY BAR
We are thrilled to add award-winning chef Alex Carballo to our invitational lineup! Chef Carballo will bring his culinary expertise to design, curate and prepare our delicious french fries kicked up with custom dipping sauces at our newly added gourmet french fry station! Chef Carballo is known for his stint as General Manager/Executive Chef at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens and for manning the helm of some of SD’s most prestigious kitchens, earning him national acclaim as one of Restaurant Hospitality Magazine’s “12 to watch in 2012”.

AWARD-WINNING LIVE MUSIC
The fun-filled day will feature old American music courtesy of award-winning local San Diego band G Burns Jug Band! They recently won the San Diego Music Award for Best Local Recording. Listen here.
BEER STEIN HOLDING CONTEST
Think you can hold your beer? Find out for how long during the 3rd annual BraveCort “Masskrugstemmen”, a traditional Bavarian beer stein-holding contest in which competitors hold a 1-liter stein of beer in one hand for as long as they can! All proceeds will directly benefit the BraveCort Foundation and their support of children’s brain cancer research.
Cost: $25 each online prior to event; $40 day of the event. Only 100 tickets available! Each competitor will receive a $25 gift card to the award-winning Donovan’s Steak & Chophouse (La Jolla or Gas Lamp locations)!
